How to screenshot on android smartphones

Taking screenshot (screen capture) is a basic functionality that a smartphones should have, it's like doing a print screen on a computer/laptop.

Luckily for android users, screenshot feature have been introduced since android 4.0.4 ICS, but the problem is each brand has different ways to do the screenshot.

For example on samsung's android smartphones to do screenshot you will need to press : power button + home button simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Here's a lists of how to screenshot on various android device :

Samsung smartphones
power button + home button simultaneously for 2 seconds.

LG smartphones
press power button + volume down simultaneously for 2 seconds.

HTC smartphones
press power button + capacitive home button simultaneously for 2 seconds. or
press power button + volume down simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Sony smartphones
press power button + volume down simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Acer smartphones
press power button + volume down simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Oppo smartphones
press power button + volume down simultaneously for 2 seconds.

After you take a screenshot, of course you can share it through various social media or messaging app on your smartphone.

But in case you want to save it to your computer/laptop, you can find the screenshot images on the internal phone storage (internal sdcard).

The directory path is usually: /storage/sdcard0/Pictures/Screenshots/ or /sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots/.

You need to set MTP transfer mode on your smartphone if you're going to open the /sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots/ folder on a computer.
